Richland County, SC (WLTX) - One person is dead following what appears to be domestic shooting at a Richland County apartment complex.
The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Brook Pines Apartments off Broad River Road.
Richland County deputies say at this time, they've determined four people were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Officers say among the group were a husband and wife, and the woman's brother, who investigators believe is the shooter.
Officers say the suspect shot and killed his brother-in-law, and also shot his sister in the lower body. He then ran from the scene, but after a nearly three hour search, deputies took him into custody.
The woman was taken to the hospital with what are described as non life-threatening injuries.
Deputies identified the suspect as 20-year-old Dexter Lamons Myers. He's charged with murder and attempted muder.
The fourth person inside the home, the brother of the man who was killed, was detained for questioning.
