Deputies: Two Adults, One Juvenile Arrested After String of Robberies

Three teenagers have been arrested after a string of robberies in Lexington County.

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - (WLTX) -- A total of three people have been apprehended by the Lexington County Sheriff's Department after being linked to several robberies, according to Lexington deputies. 

Deputies arrested 17-year-old, Wesley Anderson, of Columbia and 18-year-old, Jasmine Taylor, of Gaston. According to the department's arrest warrant, they are each charged with five counts of armed robbery for holding up five people at three different locations. They are also charged with five counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime. 

Deputies say the third suspect is a juvenile. A 16-year-old male was with Anderson and Taylor during the robberies. He is held by the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. 

Lexington Sheriff, Jay Koon, said three people were robbed at around 11:00 p.m. on Friday night in the 200 block of East Meadow Court. The suspects then robbed another person in the 100 block of Executive Pointe Boulevard at around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Nearly an hour later, deputies say the suspects tried to rob a cab driver in the 300 block of Saint Andrews Road. Sheriff Koon said the cab driver described the suspects as they drove away and deputies quickly spotted the car. The suspects were then pulled over on Woodland Hills Road.

Deputies say none of the five victims were injured during the crimes.
