(Florida Today) - How about some fries with that?
Palm Bay police were called out at 5:45 p.m. on Monday to investigate a possible burglary at the McDonald's at 4705 NE Babcock Street. There, police made contact with the general manager, who reported that two grills and two fryers -- worth about $20,000 each -- had been stolen from the property.
The restaurant was closed after its new location opened down the road on Babcock Street. The older building was no longer in use, although there were several large pieces of equipment still on site, reports show.
Police said the manager had been approached by a customer who told him there were people inside of the old McDonald's location.
The manager told police he went over to investigate and found the lock on the main entrance had been damaged and the grills and fryers were missing.
There were no working security cameras at the site, reports say.
Police took DNA evidence at the scene and are currently searching for suspects.
