Gunfire Hits Car with Child Inside

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are investigating a shooting where gunfire hit a car and a home.

Officers say the incident took place Sunday along Chartel Drive on the northwest side of the county.

Investigators say they got a call around 7 p.m. of shots fired at that location. When they arrived, they say a home and a car had been struck by bullets.

One of the victims said she was in a car with her child when they saw a burgundy vehicle drive by once, and then return a short time later.On that second pass, the suspects inside the car opened fire.

No one was injured.
