Man charged after four arson fires in Easley

EASLEY, S.C. – A man faces arson and burglary charges after four structures were set on fire early Sunday morning in Easley.

The man was charged with four counts of arson, second degree, and four counts of burglary, second degree, according to Easley police Lt. Tim Cummings.

The man's name could not immediately be confirmed through warrants.

The fires were reported at:

• 2:19 a.m. in an abandoned house at 206 S. 2nd St.

• 6:44 a.m. in an outbuilding behind a vacant house at 207 W. 2nd Ave.

• 7:31 a.m. in an outbuilding behind an occupied home at 503 S. 2nd St.

• 7:48 a.m. at 5:30 S. Pendleton St.

"We found the fourth one while searching the neighborhood after he was taken into custody," Cummings said. "It was smoldering in a crawl space."
