Police Seek Person of Interest in Five Points Shooting

Columbia Police investigators are working to identify a person of interest who may have material information regarding a weekend shooting in Five Points.

COLUMBIA, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police are asking for the public's assistance to identify a person of interest, who may have information regarding a weekend shooting in Five Points.

The surveillance video shows a man firing multiple shots at traffic in the area of 1001 Harden Street, and then running across the road before leaving the scene after 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

Investigators say it appears that an occupied, light-colored truck may have been the intended target.

Police say they do not believe anyone was physically injured or property was damaged during the incident.

The Columbia Police Department says it is continuing to investigate the motive for the shooting.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers anonymously in any of the following ways:
