West Columbia, SC (WLTX) - West Columbia police are searching for a man who they say robbed a bank Friday morning.

Officers say the man entered the First Community Bank at 506 Meeting Street just after 9 a.m. Investigators say he gave the teller a note demanding money, and when the employee didn't respond immediately, he jumped over the counter.

Officers say he took about $500 from the cash drawer, then left the building. Police believe he got into a maroon 4-door vehicle to get away.
