Someone Stole a Horse in Kershaw County

A horse was stolen from a property in Kershaw county. The horse was in our area because it had been evacuated from Charleston during the hurricane.

Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) - Kershaw County deputies are searching for a stolen horse.

The thief or thieves took the animal, named Halle, from a home on Ridgeway Road sometime between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

The black spotted saddle mare is 14 years old and is 15 hands high (for those familiar with that term). It has white "stockings" on on the front left and right legs up to its knees, and on the back right leg to its thigh and back left to its dock. 

It also has white on both sides of its neck, white down its right shoulder, and a mixed black and white mane. It also has a white spot on its R barrel behind the shoulder, and and a white triangle at the L elbow.
