Springdale Police Searching for Assault Suspect

Springdale, SC (WLTX) - Springdale police are asking for the community's help in locating a man wanted for aggravated domestic violence and attempted sexual assault.

On Thursday, April 25, just after midnight officers with the Springdale Police Department responded to an assault on Airport Blvd. Responding officers made contact with a female who had locked herself in a gas station bathroom.

The victim stated, George Klicka (25) kidnapped her at gun point in the evening hours of April 24.

Police say he physically assaulted the victim while driving around.

Investigators say Klicka stopped at a hotel on the 2200 block of Airport Blvd where he physically assaulted the victim with the intent to commit a sexual assault. Klicka then drove to a nearby gas station where the victim was able to escape by fleeing to the bathroom and locking herself inside.

Investigators with the Springdale Police Department have issued arrest warrants for Klicka for the charges of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and assault with the intent to commit criminal sexual conduct first degree.

Klicka was last seen wearing camouflage pants and a camouflage shirt. He has a shaved head, a beard, a tattoo on the right side of his neck that says, "Dirty White Boy" and a diamond stud earring in his left ear. His last known location was at the Forest Brook Apartments on Platt Springs Rd.

Investigators believe he may be traveling to Folly Beach.

They also believe he is still in the midlands area and may still have possession of the firearm.
