Suspect in Kicking, Throwing of Dog Identified

Officers say the suspect may have gone to another state.

Lexington, SC (WLTX) - Lexington Police have identified the man who they say kicked a small dog and threw the animal down a set of steps.

Officers announced they've got an arrest warrant for Saquiriauki "Serio" Mister, 21, on a felony count of ill treatment of an animal.

Last month, deputies began investigating the case, which happened at the Cedarcrest Village Apartments on East Main Street. A video uploaded to Facebook showed a small white dog being kicked several times, then picked up and thrown down the stairs of an apartment complex.

Tips from the public led investigators to conclude that Mister was responsible. They believe he's since fled back to Mississippi.

Officers also arrested 34-year-old Timothy Terell Mister, Serio's uncle, on a charge of obstruction of justice and misprison of a felony. He's originally had been charged with maltreatment of an animal for not seeking treatment of the dog after the incident.
