Thief Takes Thousands in Cigarettes from Lexington Stores

Lexington County deputies say he hit two convenience stores in one night.

Lexington County, SC (WLTX)  - Lexington County deputies are looking for a suspect stole thousands of dollars in cigarettes from two stores in one night.

Deputies say the suspect first used a hammer to break in the front door of the Gat's Market on Corley Mill Road. The person took several boxes of cigarettes and left in a silver sedan.

A short time later, what's believed to be the same man broke into the Smart Shop on Platt Springs Road, and took more cigarettes.

In all, deputies say he took several thousand dollars worth of the smoking products.
