Victim Beats Up, Scares Off Home Invasion Suspect

Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies say the victim of a home invasion turned the tables on a the suspect, forcing the man to run from the home.

Officers say around 7 p.m., 20-year-old Rion Harvin came to a home on Saddle Trail Road armed with a gun. He forced his way inside, deputies say, and pointed his weapon at two people inside. However, investigators say one of the victims was able to subdue the man, injuring the suspect in the process. 

The suspect managed to get away, but officers found him a short time later. He had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. 

Harvin willl be charged with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of pointing and presenting when he's out of the hospital.
