Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a man they say pretended he was a police officer to a woman.
Darrell Maurice Wolley, 46, has been taken into custody.
Sheriff Leon Lott says on January 28th at 9 a.m., Wolley was "aggressive towards the victim" while the two were driving in separate cars along Broad River Road.
When the victim got out of her car, deputies say Wolley told her he was a Richland County deputy and a Drug Enforcement Agent. Officers say he asked the woman for her driver's license and insurance information. According to deputies, the victim asked him never gave him those documents, and when she asked to see his credentials, he left the area.
