Deputies: Verbal Altercation Turns to Gun Fire

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland County Sheriff's Deputies say a verbal altercation turned to gun fire just after midnight Saturday morning at 1150 Vanboklen Road.

Deputies say 53-year-old Arthur Stewart and another woman were having an argument when Stewart grabbed a rifle and fired several shots at the victim. She was not hit.

Arthur Stewart is now in custody at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

The victim's name has not been released.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate.
