Suspect Vehicle in 5 Points Hit & Run Identified

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have released a picture of the vehicle they believe was involved in a hit and incident in Columbia's Five Points Friday morning.

The incident took place at 3 a.m. at the intersection of Greene and Harden Streets.

According to witnesses, two people who were lawfully in the crosswalk were hit by a red Camaro. Officers say the driver of the car kept going. A female victim had a serious leg injury and was taken to the hospital. She was last reported in stable condition. A male victim was treated and released.

The car was last seen driving north on Harden Street. Witnesses have not been able to provide a description of the driver.

Police believe the car is possibly a 2000 or later model Chevy Camaro with tinted windows.
