Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A second suspect has been identified in the robbery and kidnapping of an elderly couple last month.

Officers say they're looking for 21-year-old Donald Javonte Smith.

Police say back on May 21, Smith and another suspect, 19-year-old John Brandon Foster, approached an 87-year-old man outside his home on Koon Road. The men then forced their way inside the victim's home, investigators add.

When they were inside, police say the two men made death threats to the man and his 84-year-old wife and pointed guns at them.

The wife says she tried to fight off the men with her cane, but one of the suspect hit her in the head with a gun. She was treated and released from a hospital

Investigators say the men stole several items including a wallet and purse, electronics, jewelry, and guns. Some of the items were found later at another home on Koon Road.

Foster was arrested last week at an apartment complex on Hardscrabble Road.
