Prosperity, S.C. (WLTX)-- The Newberry County Sheriff's Department is looking for three men who they said tried unsuccessfully to burglarize a gun dealer's business.

The attempt took place about 11:30 p.m. on June 12 at Bear Creek Firearms.  That's located along Macedonia Church Road in Prosperity. Investigators say the men entered the business, through a window that contained an air conditioning unit. That unit was manipulated to create a space big enough for one of the men to get inside.

Once in, the suspect tried to get inside a gun display cabinet. Locks on the cabinet prevented that from happening. There were no weapons, ammunition, or any property taken during the burglary.
But deputies want to know who the men are. Surveillance pictures provide a look at one of the suspects.

Investigators suspect all of the men are in their early 20s. If you have any information about this case, or can identify the suspects you're asked to call Crimestoppers at (888) CRIME SC.

A reward is being offered in the case.
