Columbia SC (WLTX) -- Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) Wednesday, June 27 seized a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory and arrested a 38-year-old woman on charges that she operated the methamphetamine laboratory at a home where she resides on Sugar Bottom Road near Leesville.
After receiving a tip, officers searched the home's attic and found two quart-sized mason jars that contained a clear liquid and one bottle of liquid fire, Metts said. The two mason jars contained methamphetamine oil. Officers searched the home's master bedroom and found one plastic bag in the drawer of a dresser that contained a white powder that was consistent with methamphetamine.
Lexington County Sheriff Metts said NET officers arrested Amanda Axson Lee, 38, of 319 Sugar Bottom Road, Leesville, on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and possessing methamphetamine. Lee is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
NET officers are searching for 37 year old Daniel Wilson Hartley, Lee's boyfriend, who is wanted on arrest warrants on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and possessing methamphetamine.
Hartley was not at the residence when the officers seized the clandestine methamphetamine laboratory. He is 5-foot-11 and weighs 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
