Richland County, SC (WLTX) - The Richland County Coroner's office has identified the man killed outside a nightclub early Sunday morning.
Coroner Gary Watts says Gawayne A. Franklin, 25, died after being shot in the head at Mr. Lucky's on Seminole Road early Sunday morning.
Deputies say around 3:35 a.m. a gunman shot Franklin following a verbal fight.
Paramedics took Franklin to Palmetto Richland where he was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.
According to officials, the gunman was also shot multiple times in the upper body by security at the club. The gunman was transported to Palmetto Richland. His condition is unknown at this time.
The Richland County Sheriffs Department continues to investigate.
