Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a pair of men who they say sprayed a woman with mace and robbed her in a parking lot.

Officers announced Thursday the arrests of 19-year-old Yauncey Wilson and 19-year-old Horace Lee Jr. The two are each charged with assault and battery and strong armed robbery.

Deputies say on September 9, Wilson approached a woman who was in the parking lot of the Walmart at 10060 Two Notch Road. According to the victim, he asked her for directions to Farrow Road, and they went over to a car with Lee inside.

As the victim was giving directions to Lee, Wilson came up from behind and sprayed her in the face multiple times with mace, officers say.

When she fell to the ground, officers say the two took her purse and drove away from the scene.

The victim was taken to Palmetto Baptist Hospital for treatment.

The suspects were located from a tip from Crimestoppers.
