Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have arrested a man they say broke into a home and robbed a mother and her children at gunpoint.
Lorenzo Bernard Young, 18, is charged with third degree burglary, three counts of armed robbery, three counts of kidnapping, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and criminal conspiracy.
Officers say back on July 6, Young and two unidentified men broke into a home on Lester Drive. Inside the home were a mother and her three teenage children.
The men held a gun to the victims, officers say, and forced them to move around the home. While they were inside, the suspects took $1,900 worth of electronics.
The victims were not physically harmed during the incident.
