Chapin, SC (WLTX) - Chapin police have arrested a woman they say hit her son with a spatula multiple times.
Crystal Maren, 29, has been charged with cruelty to children.
Officers say the Department of Social Services contacted them on February 26th saying the woman's six-year-old came to school with injuries to his face and ear.
According to police, when the teacher asked about the injuries, the boy told her his mother hit him with a spatula that she was using to cook several times because he wasn't listening.
The boy and his sister were place in DSS care.
