Doing it for Dad: Conference Celebrates Fatherhood

Christopher Emanuel and Ron Harvey join Deon Guillory to talk about how you can attend the SC Fatherhood and Male Achievement Conference.

Columbia, SC (WLTX)- The statewide Fatherhood & Male Achievement Conference will be held Saturday, August 12th from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Richland School District 2 Innovation Center.

This year's theme The Path to Success is to inspire and equip attendees with resources to help Fathers, Men and Boys achieve success at home, work and school. This year's conference will also include two fun and engaging empowerment sessions for 3rd-5th grade boys and FREE haircuts all day for attendees.  Fox Sports analyst Chris Broussard will serve as the keynote.

“Last year, more than 600 attendees from South Carolina and 12 other states came to Columbia for this empowering conference.  This year we will address the areas that our Fathers, Men, and Boys highlight as priority, including work, healthy relationships, health and nutrition. We will also introduce an all female panel that will provide an opportunity for Men and Fathers to hear directly from women on what they seek from a partner in love and in life.” said Patrick Patterson, CEO, Global Partners of Fathers and Families, LLC and conference host.

The event is open to the public. Registration for adults (early bird, by July 29, 2017) is $35, Youth (grade 3rd -12th) is $20 and Group Rate (10 or more youth) is $12. Registration covers breakfast, lunch & conference t-shirt.
