Richland County, SC (WLTX) -- Parents of Alcorn Middle School students took part in the school's monthly "Parent University," with Tuesday's topic focused on bullying and its warning signs.
The monthly sessions, organized by Parent Coordinator James Bryant, focus on ways for parents to open lines of communication between the school, the child, and their families.
Organizers of the workshop offered ways for parents to speak with faculty and staff about how best to identify bullying and opportunities to stop the behavior.
The Richland 1 school offered participants snacks and door prizes, along with a healthy dose of information regarding how students can be successful at school and life.
If you're a parent of an Alcorn Middle School student, and you'd like to attend one of the workshops, you are urged to call Bryant at 735-3439, extension 2209.
