Columbia,SC (WLTX)-- Linda Wilson has been an educator at H.B. Rhame Elementary School in Richland District 1 for more than 35 years.
In her time as a physical education teacher she's seen a definite change in the way children approach physical activity and nutrition.
With the rise in childhood obesity, and the increase in sedentary lifestyles, Wilson believes the work she does daily is even more important today than it was when she first started.
Wilson takes pride in knowing that she is now educating children who are the children and grandchildren of her former students.
She uses her classroom as an opportunity to instill basic life skills that will provide her children with tools they need for a lifetime.
