Cool night and warm days are on tap for Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s on Tuesday. However, a cold front will pass through the Midlands on Wednesday. Showers will be likely and it will be cooler behind the front.
Dry air will move into the area for the remainder of the week. It will be significantly colder by Friday and the cold weather will last through the weekend. The middle of December is expected to be colder than normal, but not atypical for this time of year.
