All Clear Given at Courthouse After Threat

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have given the all clear at the Municipal Courthouse after someone called in a threat to the building.

Columbia police say the threat came in just before 10 a.m. Tuesday. T

eams went through the building for several hours checking it to make sure it was safe, and say they found no threats. The building was reopened around 12:30 p.m.

The 800 and 900 blocks of Washington Street and the 1300 and 1400 blocks of Lincoln Street were blocked while crews dealt with the situation. A nearby church was also evacuated as a precaution.

Columbia police say the threat came in as a 9-1-1 call, and they're working to find out who is responsible for making the threat.
