Ambulance. Tractor Trailer Collide, No Injuries

Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) An ambulance collided with a tractor trailer shortly before lunch in Orangeburg County Tuesday.

The wreck happened about 11:20 a.m., along US 176 near Coach Road. According to LCpl. Judd Jones, with the S.C. Highway Patrol, an ambulance and a tractor trailer were heading west on US 176. Jones says the ambulance attempted to make a U-turn, and was struck by the tractor-trailer.

The ambulance was carrying a passenger and two people from a previous collision, at the time of the crash.

No one was injured. The driver of the ambulance, 54-year-old Virginia Grimsley was charged with making an improper turn.
