Armed Teens Steal Gaming Console in Fatal Home Invasion

CLEARWATER, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a 15-year-old Aiken County boy was fatally shot during an early morning home invasion.

Coroner Tim Carlton says Jordan Shores of North Augusta was pronounced dead at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at a hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

According to a police report, three masked gunmen barged into a Clearwater home about 1:30 a.m. through an unlocked front door while Shores and a 16-year-old were playing video games. One suspect fired at Shores while another pistol-whipped the other teen.

The report says the suspects fled with a PlayStation 4 while firing into the home.

On Friday, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office charged two 17-year-old males from Beech Island with attempted murder, armed robbery and first-degree burglary. Those charges will likely be upgraded. Investigators were looking for the third suspect.
