Bond Set for Woman in Clarendon County Fatal DUI Crash

Clarendon County, SC (WLTX) - Bond has been set for a Manning woman charged with felony DUI in the crash that killed one person and seriously injured another Saturday night.

Tammy Brown, 45, has been charged with 2 counts of felony DUI (1 with death/1 with serious bodily injury), ABC violation and a seat belt violation.

Troopers say Brown was traveling east on SC 261 around 12 p.m. when she struck the rear of a 1994 Dodge Dakota Pickup truck causing it turn off the right side of the roadway and crash into a tree.

Clarendon County Coroner Hayes Samuels says 34-year-old Maurelio Deleon of Manning died at the scene. His cause of death is blunt force trauma.

Samuels says the passenger has sustained serious injuries.

Brown was taken to the hospital after the accident and is currently being held at the Clarendon County Detention Center on $30,000 bond.
