Budgeting for the Gamecock Bowl Game

The USC football team find themselves in a similar position they were just four years ago. Back in 2013... the Gamecocks played Michigan in the Outback Bowl. This season they're heading back to Tampa to play the Wolverines again.

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Over four years later, South Carolina fans find themselves in the same position during post-season play taking on the University of Michigan in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day.

One of the most memorable plays from the game is the Jadeveon Clowney hit heard around the world. Plays like that is making South Carolina fans wanting to find a way down to Tampa, Florida for the big game.

We broke down how flights, hotels, and tickets are costing fans. All the prices are ranged from traveling on December 29th and returning on January 2nd.

If you're wanting to fly out of Columbia (CAE), a round trip flight to Tampa (TPO) is going to cost you $628.

You can try saving money driving to the Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and find a round trip ticket for nearly $280.

If you're staying within ten miles of Raymond James Stadium, we found hotels ranging from $80 to $227 a night.

Depending on your preference of hotel, you may be paying more than another place to stay.

Of course if you're heading to Tampa, you're going to want to buy a ticket to get into the game.
