Columbia Police Release Sketches of Two Men Wanted for Sexual Assaults

Columbia police department has released sketches of two men who are wanted in connection with sexual assaults.

At this time, there is no known connection with the cases or suspects, however Investigators with the Special Victims Unit continue to investigate.

The first report of a sexual assault occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at a residence on South Saluda Avenue.

In this case the female victim tells responding CPD officers that an unknown male broke into her residence and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect left the scene on foot.

The second report of a sexual assault occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at a residence on North Beltline Boulevard.

In this case the female victim tells responding officers that an unknown male broke into her residence and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.

The suspect fled the scene.

Both victims received medical attention at a local hospital.

Chief Kelly urges citizens with information about the cases, and in particular, if they recognize the faces in the police sketches, to call 9-1-1 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-888-CRIME-SC immediately.
