Deputies Ask for Assistance to Identify Person with Information

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are asking for the community's assistance to locate a person who may have vital information connected to a recent murder.

On Saturday, June 24, 2017, just before 3:00 a.m. at a BP gas station at 1005 Fontaine Road, a man was shot in the lower body and later died as a result of his injuries at a local hospital, according to deputies. Deputies say the victim had refused to give the suspect a ride and the two then argued before the suspect shot the victim. The suspect then fled the scene, according to investigators. 

Investigators are currently seeking information from the person shown in these images or anyone else who may be able to assist in the investigation. Deputies say they have already arrested the suspect but are hoping to identify additional witnesses.

Deputies are asking anyone with information about the identity of this person or the crime itself to contact Crimestoppers in any of the following ways:
