Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The dry, warm weather will continue Monday, but Hurricane Matthew will have to be watched.
Sunday was sunny and pleasant. Temperatures Sunday morning started off in the lower and middle 50s. The Columbia airport dropped to 54 degrees.
Monday will be mostly sunny and warm. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s. The mostly sunny conditions will continue Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s again.
A few more clouds are possible Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
Towards the end of the workweek Hurricane Matthew is expected to pass along the southeastern coast. This storm will have to be watched closely.
Right now partly cloudy skies are expected for the end of the workweek. It should be dry, but changes in the path or strength of Matthew could change our forecast. Most of the rain associated with Hurricane Matthew will be east of the Midlands.
