West Columbia, SC (WLTX)- The Early Autism Project hosted their grand opening in West Columbia Friday afternoon.
"It is very exciting," said Ann Eldridge, Chief Operating Officer of the Early Autism Project.
EAP has clinics in Sumter, Greenville and Charleston serving more than 600 kids across South Carolina.
The clinic includes a large therapeutic play area with a trampoline, slide and other items used in therapy, and individual rooms with skill building games, books and computers.
"EAP has provided Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to children in South Carolina for more than a decade, and our organization is incredibly proud of our new, more spacious clinic that will allow us to provide more children in the Columbia area with effective, evidence-based treatment," said Eldridge.
The 7,800-square-foot clinic serves children between the ages of 20 months and 21 years old. Eldridge says they plan to open a facility in Tampa, Florida this year.
