RICHLAND COUNTY, SC - (WLTX) -- One person died in a fatal crash early Sunday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts identified the person killed as 63-year-old Loman Quillen, Jr.
Troopers say the incident happened at around 3:49 a.m. on Interstate 20 near the 79 mile marker. They say Quillen Jr. was driving a 1996 Buick four-door vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
Troopers say the driver of a 2015 Chevy pick-up truck ran into the back of the Buick causing both vehicles to run off the right side of the road. The driver of the truck and a passenger sustained no injuries.
The cause of this collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. No charges have been made.
