Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Grammy-nominated Gospel artist turned pastor, Travis Greene is gearing up for a free family event Saturday.
His church, Forward City Church located in Columbia is hosting its first ever Fall Fest at the State House.
“We believe that the church should not be contained in four walls. We believe that it is our duty to extend hope beyond our building and really to the community around us and so that’s what we’re doing this Saturday,” Greene said.
The event is from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. with free food, free games, giveaways and LIVE performances from several artists including Greene.
“Really it’s to bring positive energy to the city, to inspire our children, to inspire our young people, and to inspire even our elderly, to smile, to dance again, to hope again, and so we’re doing that right here at the South Carolina State House,” Greene explained with a smile.
Forward City Fall Fest is free and open to everyone.
