Freeze Warnings In Effect For The Midlands

A cold start to the holiday workweek. Freeze warnings and frost advisories in effect Monday morning.

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Freeze warnings are in effect for the Midlands early Monday morning.

High pressure will settle over the area for early Monday producing clear skies. It will be cold Monday morning with a freeze possible and scattered frost.

A freeze warning is in effect for All Midland counties until 9 AM Monday morning. 

Temperatures Monday afternoon will warm into the lower 60s with lots of sunshine.

More clouds are expected Tuesday as a coastal system develops. An isolated shower is possible Tuesday, and temperatures will be a little cooler. Highs Tuesday will be in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.

More sunshine and warmer temperatures are expected for Wednesday. If you are going to be traveling Wednesday, the weather should be fine for the South and the East Coast.

A few more clouds will be move in Thanksgiving Day, and temperatures will be cooler. Showers will be possible along the coast, but the chance for rain in the Midlands will be small.

More sunshine is expected Friday through the weekend. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 60s.
