Freeze Warning In Effect For The Midlands

Columbia, SC (WLTX) The National Weather Service in Columbia, SC has issued a freeze warning for most of South Carolina, that does include all counties in the Midlands until 9 a.m. Monday.

Temperatures as of 4 a.m. this morning were already at or below 32 degrees throughout the Midlands and are forecasted to rise above over freezing quickly after 9 a.m. as the sun rises.

Although the clear blue skies today will warm us up to high temperatures into the lower 60's, overnight temperatures are expected to drop at or below freezing again early Tuesday morning. At this time, no freeze or frost watches or warnings are in place for tonight. We will be closely monitoring and notifications from The National Weather Service but prepare for the likely cold temperatures.
