Husband, Wife Killed in Northeast Columbia Shooting, Coroner Says

The incident happened on Parklane Road late Thursday night.

COLUMBIA, SC (WLTX) - Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says a husband and wife died in Thursday night's shooting in northeast Columbia.

Watts says 40-year-old Aaron Collins and 46-year-old Sydni Collins both were wounded around 9:45 p.m. at a location in the 7700 block of Parklane Road near Claudia Drive.

The two were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Both died from gunshot wounds to the upper body, Watts said.

Richland County deputies have not yet said what they think led up to the shooting, or even who may be responsible.

A third person was injured in a car accident at that location.
