Sumter, SC (WLTX)- The Double Dutch Forces team filled the bleachers and floor at the Sumter Civic Center Friday afternoon.
The team is composed of kids and teens from around South Carolina. Diamond Williams joined Double Dutch Forces 10 years ago.
"I started when I was three years old at the double dutch camp at the Martin Luther King Junior Center and I have been doing this ever since," said Williams.
Teams from across the globe are competing in free style, speed and compulsory.
"If you are a fast learner than it should be easy for you, there really isn't anything difficult about it," said Williams.
Double dutch is a game where two long jump ropes turning in opposite directions are jumped by one or more players jumping simultaneously.
The finals are Saturday at the Sumter Exhibition center. Competition starts at 9am.
