Mobile Home Fire Leaves Four Homeless in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, SC (WLTX) - Red Cross is assisting Bishopville residents after a fire damaged their mobile home Sunday morning, according to officials.

The Lee County Fire Department responded to the fire on Donald Davis Road mid-morning on Sunday, according to a tweet from the department. Firefighters say smoke alarms alerted the occupants to the fire, and the residents were able to escape without injury.

Red Cross says it is assisting the family of two adults and two children by providing financial assistance for food, clothing, lodging and other essentials.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
