Operator, Passenger Die in Fatal Motorcyle Crash

Lexington, SC (WLTX) -- Two people died in a fatal motor vehicle collision on Saturday evening, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. 

Troopers say the collision happened at around 7 p.m. on St. Andrews Road at the intersection of Jamil Road. The driver and passenger were eject from the motorcycle and died at the scene. They were not wearing a helmet.

Troopers say a four-door Mazda was traveling west on St. Andrews Road and attempted to make a left turn on Jamil Road when the motorcycle crashed into the vehicle.

The driver of the car was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. This crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
