Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - Students in Orangeburg County will return to school on Monday, after missing a week and a half of school due to Hurricane Matthew.
The superintendents from Orangeburg 3, 4, and 5 released a joint statement Wednesday, outlining their plant. All administrative and 240-day staff Teacher and staff will return for a workday on Friday, however.
Students have not been in class since last Tuesday. Governor Nikki Haley ordered classes in the county dismissed from Wednesday to Friday last week to reduce congestion on the roads for evacuees. Since Saturday, however, the county's been dealing with storm damage and power outages that's made it hard to resume a normal schedule.
