Panthers' Thomas Davis suspended 2 games for hit on Packers' Devante Adams

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers may be without their star linebacker Thomas Davis for the next two games.

Davis is expected to be suspended for two games after his dangerous hit on Green Bay Packers wide receiver Devante Adams on Sunday. Adams left the game early due to an apparent concussion.

Davis plans to appeal his suspension, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Panthers enter Week 16 with a 10-4 record and will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home on Christmas Eve.
