Parole Denied in Lake Murray Boating Deaths Case

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A panel has denied parole for a man convicted in connection with two boating deaths on Lake Murray.

Steven Michael Kranendonk, 29, appeared before the Department of Parole, Pardon, and Probation Wednesday morning, where the decision was made.

A boat Kranendonk was driving collided with another watercraft in May of 2010 along the lake. Kelli Bullard, 25, of Lexington and Amber Golden, 24 of Huntsville, Ala., died in the crash.

Kradendonk was convicted in 2012 of two counts of reckless homicide.

This was his first attempt at parole.
