FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WLTX) - State troopers are asking for the public's assistance as they investigate a fatal hit-and-run in Fairfield County Tuesday morning, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol (SCHP).
Lamont Andre Jackson, 40, of Winnsboro, died from injuries sustained when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle Tuesday morning, according to the Fairfield County Coroner's Office.
Officials say Jackson was struck and killed along SC Highway 34 near I-77 in Fairfield County around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Investigators say they are looking for a white sedan, possibly a 4-door Nissan, with front end damage.
