'Project Aegis' Aims To Bring 111 Jobs, $84 Million to Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WLTX) - Richland County Council finalized the $150,000 sale of 31 acres in Blythewood to an undisclosed company referred to as "Project Aegis".

County officials have yet to release the actual name of the company, but tell News 19 they will once a tax agreement has been reached.

The location of the manufacturing facility will be within Carolina Pines Industrial Park in Blythewood.

Documents show the county expects that the business will create an $84.5 million investment and 111 jobs.
