Recreation Board Has No Response To Lawmakers' Request

Richland County, SC (WLTX) - The board of commissioners for the Richland County Recreation Commission met Monday for their first meeting since a majority of the county's lawmakers called for five of those members to resign.

The board made no mention of the matter. When we asked for a comment from Chairwoman J. Marie Green she did not reply.

The board made decisions regarding contractual matters and the meeting lasted about 2 hours.

The commission is currently under investigation by the FBI and SLED.

Multiple lawsuits have been filed against the commission, its executive director James Brown III and multiple board members alleging sexual harassment, defamation and intimidation.
