Natural Gas Line Repaired Near Five Points, All Roads Open

COLUMBIA, SC (WLTX) - The Columbia Fire Department (CFD) announced at 10 a.m. Thursday morning that a natural gas leak in the Five Points area had been mitigated and roads have been reopened.

Around 8 a.m., CFD reported crews were on the scene of a cut natural gas line in the 500 block of Queen Street in Columbia. Residents in the immediate area had been asked to shelter in place while the leak was addressed.

Blossom Street, between Holly and Heidt Streets, had also been closed according to CFD.
